In order for us to determine if you are a good candidate for the Hair Stroke or Ombre´ procedure we will need some information.
Some contraindications may require an Addendum to the consent, if Mary proceeds with the procedure. Mary wants you to know everything!
*Previous Permanent Makeup/Microblading
CONSULTATION OR PICTURES ARE REQUIRED
(We do not work on anyone with previous permanent makeup/microblading on their brows)
*Pregnant, nursing, harvesting eggs or trying to get pregnant
Must wait 6 months after delivery &/or 6 months after nursing
(No Exceptions)
*Any scars or experienced any head trauma in the brow area(Addendum required if proceeding)
*Heart Conditions/Pace Maker/Defibrillator (No exceptions)
*Certain medications may prohibit you from having the procedure done.
*Surgical Forehead/Brow lift
(Scar tissue will prevent proper healing)
*Alopecia
(Hair loss due to auto immune disease/lack of follicles)
(Hair strokes will appear more blurred or blended)
Ombre´ Recommended (Addendum Required)
*Trichotillomania(Compulsive pulling of body hair) (Addendum Required)
(Due to constant pulling, scar tissue is prominent and pigment will not heal properly)
*Shingles-Have you EVER had shingles on your face?
(No exceptions...PMU will not be performed as the procedure could cause a flare up)
* Eczema, Psoriasis or Dermatitis in the Eyebrow area
(Constant flaking/itching/irritation/shedding of skin)
*Oily, Combination, T-Zone or Severely oily skin (Addendum required if proceeding)
(The hair strokes will appear more blended, solid or not retain at all, Ombre is recommended)
*Large pores on your forehead & in the brow area
(Pigment will blur/blend in large pores looking powdered)
(Addendum Required)
*Hemophilia-Bleeding Disorder-Doctor Clearance Required
*Menopause/Body Runs Hot (Addendum required)
If you have hot flashes during the procedure, the pigment may not implant/retain and Mary may have to stop.
* Mary does not work on anyone under the age of 25.
You will only be able to do this procedure a few times (1-5).
The younger you start, the younger you are when it can no longer be done.
It is recommended to do when you are older so that you can maintain for a few years.
*Platelet Disorders-Aggregation Disorders
An aggregation disorder is when platelets do not bind with fibrinogen and other proteins in order to stick to other platelets. As a result the platelets cannot form a plug to stop the bleeding from a damaged blood vessel.
*Moles/raised areas in or around the brow area
(Pigment will not be put into anything raised.)
*Piercing in the brow area
(Scars can cause the pigment to migrate or lay unevenly)
*Deep wrinkles in the brow area
(The Hair Strokes will not lay properly in the creases, giving the brow an uneven look)
*Thyroid condition and taking medication for this condition(Addendum required if proceeding)
(Hypo, Hyper Thyroid, Graves Disease, Hashimoto's)
*Fitzpatrick Skin types 1 & 2 (red heads/white skin/light eyes, Strawberry blondes and some blondes)
Due to hypersensitivity the skin does not take or heal the pigment well.
(Addendum Required)
*On Accutane (acne medicine)or any other prescribed acne medicines within the last year
(Dr's note required with date of last use)
*Auto Immune Disorder of any kind (MS, RA, Lupus or the like)
(Due to the medicines to treat these diseases, pigment will not retain)
(Addendum required if proceeding)
*List medicines currently taking including all vitamins.
(NO FISH OIL or Flax Seed 3 WEEKS PRIOR)
*MRSA (can be very contagious)
*NO TAN (No exceptions) 30 Days Prior & NO Sun 30 Days After
*Extremely Thin skin
*Mary will not be able to do hair strokes for clients desiring thin eyebrows.
Hair strokes will not heal visible due to thickness of the brow. They will appear more powdered or solid.
*Frequent Exercise (3+ days per week) (Addendum Required)
(Due to the frequent production of sweat(salt), the pigment WILL NOT retain, fade very quickly, appear blurred or change in color)
THIS WILL HAPPEN!
NO LASH/BROW GROWTH SERUMS ON BROWS AT ALL
60 DAYS PRIOR AND IT NOT RECOMMENDED
FOR USE ON THE BROWS AT ALL AFTERWARDS
THESE CONTRAINDICATIONS CAN ALSO PRESENT LATER IN LIFE. FUTURE PROCEDURES MAY NOT BE PERFORMED.
WE REQUIRE A FULL FACE PHOTO WITH NO FILTERS & NO MAKEUP PRIOR TO SCHEDULING.
THIS ALLOWS US TO DETERMINE IF YOU ARE A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR THE HAIR STROKE PROCEDURE.
